From gardens in Calgary, Southern Alberta, Canada to gardens in Red Deer in Central Alberta, Canada to gardens in Lansing in Upstate New York, USA. On to gardens by Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Canada and Rural Connecticut, U.S.A. Add the gardens throughout the world travelled to near and far. Children, children never contrary, how does a garden grow, with droplets of rain and loving care and and grandchildren all in a row.
Zinnia seeds are growing. The sunflowers and corn are in too. Relocated some free plants and hope they perk up, a little limp today. It's a massive empty flower bed above a "septic equipment" area so bushes and trees can't be planted here. Only perennials and annuals. A few irises and daffodils are peaking through.
6 rows of corn, 3 rows of sunflowers and 4 rows of zinnias and it's still not even covered. May 8, 2021 |

Historically the ice has melted completely on the ice as early as April 15 and as late as May 30. Here are a few shots of the lake in April. And yes Grandpa was out kayaking today with Rob and went from sunshine, calm, rain, wind and snow flurries. The Mayor officially announced ice out today.
